How do I check out an item?

Answer

  1. Visit the library catalog (or browse the shelves).
  2. In the catalog, use the search bar making sure spelling is correct. Change limiters as desired (location, item type, etc.).
  3. Take down the call # (located under "all copies" -> "shelf location") and use the call # to find the item on the shelf or ask a staff member at the Info Desk for help.

  • If the item is unavailable or available at another location, place a hold by selecting "hold" and entering the info on the back of your library BARR card.
  • An email will notify you when the hold is ready.
